Well, it looks like there were will be an E3 this year after all, but the public cannot attend E3 as it did in the past. You have to be in the industry and you have to be invited.

After last year's E3 there was announcement that there would not be any more E3 Expos.

Well, I'm most certainly going to E3. I hope to meet the Tilted Mill team and get an upclose look at SimCity Societies. I didn't fair so well at the EA PR department in geting an appointment, so it's gonna be a matter of luck.

My older brother went to E3 in the past three years to cover it as a reporter for a console / PC games web site. I don't know if he's still doing that, but if he is, I'll see if I can ask him to take some pictures of the SCS booth.

Attendance at all events, meetings, and demonstrations will be by invitation only. Participating companies will determine who is invited. If you are invited, you will receive an invitation in the mail in April. Invitations are non-transferable, and no additional names will be added to the invitation list. -E3Expo.com

So if you aren't on someone's list already you probably aren't going to get in.

I'm on the invite list. I'm all confirmed up to go. There's a secondary list of appointments that gets you one on one time with people. That's what I was aiming for.

To ponit out, Actually, Independence Day was on the 4th July. But that was overshadowed by the release of Alan Johnston.
