These are my observations about the happiness. Please, add to it.
Abbreviations: Happiness point: H Happiness points / day: HD H can be in a range from -30 to +30. Sims start with +5 H. A house gives -3 HD +/- amount indicated on a house card. Thus slum apartments give -3 -1 = -4 HD. Fairytale palace: -3 +2 = -1 HD. Homeless: -6 HD (I am not sure about this one). Difficulty level: Relaxed: +1 HD, Normal 0, Challenging -2 HD. So on a challenging level in a standard house sims loose 5 HD. Sick on injured: -2 HD Shutting down a workplace: +40 H (one time boost) All of above is valid for single sims. It seems that a family happiness formula is a bit different. Happiness is affected also by special sims and enhancements, but I have not researched it in details. Some numbers: Pickpocketing: - 12 H Street preacher: 25% chance +3 H, 25% chance -3 H Last edited by Vladas; 11-26-2007 at 02:35 AM. |

Other Useful numbers (correct me if I'm wrong on any of these, the numbers are just observations on my part.):
Sims work 8 hours a day. Sims walk about 10 tiles an hour. Sims spend 2 hours in venues. Last edited by Micah71381; 05-30-2008 at 11:21 AM. |

General tip about alot of game mechanics.
Constants.xml Difficultylevels.xml gamemodes.xml Strageticgamemodes.xml Enjoy! BTW- in strategic modes, the amount of happiness from shutting down a building is reduced for each difficulty. Combining this with the fact that unhappy Sims can spawn criminals is just devilish of us, we know. You are welcome! default visit time is 8 for work 2 for venue. |
