Default "here's my Mad Max Mod..."

.......Is what i want someone to say to me.

sorry if you might have thought i had one to disseminate, it was not my intention to mislead anyone.

but seriously, i was thinking about the whole cyberpunk aesthetic on my drive home from work one day, and somehow it got all mushed up with the post-apocalyptic thing...but i digress.

A post-apocalyptic mod is EXACTLY what someone needs to make. The Thunderdome could easily be a building that gives authority bonuses along with entertainment..it's a natural fit for this game, and a literal VENUE.

Replace "street food vendor" with "50 gallon drum fire" and you start to get the picture.

Your sim citizens could be walking around in armor and motorcycle helmets, instead of ninjas, you could spawn desert thugs. And for god's sake, we could have some Yurts that don't look like a gawdamn hippie tent.

Remember the big tower thing Tina Turner lived in in bartertown? It's housing with a population of 100, has 20 jobs, makes 1k simoleons a week, and gives +20 authority.

Endless cool possibilites here with this theme.

So despite my hook of a thread title, i actually do bring something to the table, despite what various hip t-shirts may tell you. I'm an artist, the proud recipient of my very own six-year bachelor's degree in Studio Arts, from a prestigious midwestern public university/bar.

If anyone is as enthusiastic as I am about the whole idea of a "mad max" thing, and you have the programs and technical know-how to pull it off, i'd be down for working on the art and designs. I have a limited understanding of modding and what you need to pull it off well, but i'm kinda thinking big here.

yeah?

Oooooh! A post-apocalyptic building style would be so cool! The buildings would all be half-trashed or makeshift reconstructions. They could spawn mutants and biker gangs! It would also go really well with the authoritarian style, and creepy cities (zombie apocalypse).

Who needs fallout 3, right?

Delta City?

It is a good idea, though, and should be easy enough to implement. It's really just different buildings. The Industrial streets would already be perfect.

Decorations are easy; Drum fire, pile of Tires, broken Statue, patchwork wall, etc.

I'd throw some hints from other post-apoc movies and such in too, like make a Post Office building, and maybe something like a beached oil tanker.

Add things like Lookout Towers, expand on the already existing Slum apartments to make Shanty's, tents, etc.

The idea of new sims is intriguing too....Mutants, obviously, acting like Zombies. Again the nods, maybe add a Postman that makes people happy (spawned by the post office), etc.

New vehicles, like those dirtbike things, buggies, etc.
