Game exception (177)

recently installed the update for SCS and it said that there was a problem and I might have to reinstall SCS. I did, but I now receive the box title Game Exception.

Unhandled exception: No error
Type: class TMill::Common::Exception

Function: TMill::Common::IO::FileStream::Read
Line: 177

I have tried reinstalling many times. This doesn't fix it. I have also searched for the file but it is not to be found.

PS: I have contacted EA and they have still not replied (It has been over 48 hours). They have been no help at all. If anybody knows how to fix the problem, I'd appreciate it.

I am having he exact same error message on my computer as well, contacted EA, havnt heard back from them.
can I see a dxdiag of your system to compare to mine to see if there are any similarities?

It would be helpful if you both would post your dxdiags and the text of the error you're getting and when you're getting it. Thanks!

anyone a sollusion to this problem? fortunately i am having the same error! But i have played this game on my pc before. After installing some updates and some downloads from the simcity downloadsite i am getting this error.
