Default missing or corrupt group2.cab

So, the game does not install. At about 75% it hits an error every time, saying that the file Group2.cab is corrupt. It says it needs this file and must stop.

Anyone have this problem? Can be fixed? I have tested in diferent OS and the game have been instaled correctely....

Try installing the game after rebooting to the Windows Safe mode.

It could be a CD/DVD driver problem or the drive itself. Some drives are not 100% industry compliant or it could be going bad.

If you have another CD/DVD drive install from there.

Use Manage Attachments below to attach a copy of your dxidag.txt file.

Default RAM Issue

I don't know too much of the technical stuff, but I solved my problem (after a couple of months of trying things) by removing one of my sticks of RAM. I'm not sure what was wrong; however, it solved the problem for this installation as well as many others.

Hope this helps!

Hi,

I've got the same problem. I tried to install 'Societies' with 4 DVD- & CD-drives on different computers, but it never worked. So, CD-error maybe?

Can anybody send me the file? Thanks a lot!

Ada

Same thing here. I see EAgames is burning their CD's very poorly these days. So, can someone post a link to the group2.cab file?
