There are several threads discussing the subject, but since scammers usually leave the game quickly, they all die out rapidly.
Please be aware that quite some players don't spend much time on this game, so if you don't hear from them for two or three days, it doesn't mean they are ignoring you. You can check the activity of a player by looking at the activity button (for instance in the ally list). Scamming does happen, but it is rare. If you lost some goods because of it, don't worry too much, you will produce new ones easily, and what seems like a huge amount for you now will be peanuts in a matter of a few weeks. Hope you like peanuts. ![]() |

Usually if someone hasn't sent you goods promised later, a quick reminder scroll will fix it. I've even had "the heavies" sent after me a time or two. Real life gets in the way sometimes. You never know what people's lives are like in the real world & it may have slipped through the cracks.

Scroll reminder is a good first start especially when more than one person is trading with them on the wall.
I would recommend against adding names to the Wiki. I'm not sure if names are preserved forever. Try warning people on scamming techniques. The most likely scam is to receive an unexpected scroll on trading resources. |

I disagree that this is the most likely. At first, it was the only way to find trade partners, I have often looked for trade partners that way. For instance, when I was looking for people to sell wheat, newre players haven't already worked out a game strategy, wwhen I was on emeralds, and looking for someone to trade gold, I put some emerelds on the market, and watched for who bougt them. To trady your lux good, a highly recomended way is to look for people who need it for their next upgrade. I will often look at the ranking list, for who has rhe resource that I want.

I have played three worlds & never had a bad trade.
Some just take awhile, cuz we are an international game & people are busy doing other things. The "dot" next to a player on the nome map/allies function can be deceiving if you read it wrong & players can temporarily leave the game after a Trade Wall post or scroll, only to return 24 hours later. Players play parttime all the time. Players can have multiple requests for trades, forgot that they don't have enough boats, or already traded the stuff away to others. Non-response usually means embarassment & they will contact when the goods are ready. Empathy, patience & communication = great trading |

You have played two, one of them twice you mean.
![]() Still though Tink, if someone makes 6 or 7 trades and doesn't fill even one after a long while and their time says 3 hours then you know something is up. |
