Hi,
Becoming seriously addicted to this game...lots of good advice at this forum: Question: I finished building the fancy temple (forget the name) and I need to build a statue from Basalt. I didn't have any basalt so I went to the world map and found a partner for it. Several months later on the world screen it says that I have received 3 basalt. The trouble is I can't find it. I have a stone carver waiting for work, but can't figure out how to get the basalt, the carver and the temple all on the same wave length. The help screen for the temple just talks about needing baslat and a stone carver but not how to consummate things. thanks for any advice |

If this was an overland trade:
Look along the edges of the map. Unless you are really quick at selecting a cargo dropoff point the game automatically designates one - at the entry point of the trader. Usually this applies for trader goods only...but you never know! If the goods are shipping by river: Make sure you have docks/barge landings, enough to support all your trade. And create a cargo dropoff point specifically designated for large basalt statues. Also, ensure you have enough food to keep up the trade agreement. Hope that helps. |

That basalt was delivered to your city somewhere. If you didn't place a cargo drop off point for it, then the delivery people made one for you somewhere. Easiest way to find it is to build another cargo drop off point, then use the previous/next buttons to fine the one with basalt in it.
Look at your resources report too to make sure the basalt is still in storage somewhere (it can get used for other statues sometimes if those need it too, or, sculptors can buy small unfinished statues to make sculpture out of.) |

OOOOOOHHHHH! THAT explains why my small bassalt statue supply always seems to dwindle over time, even if I have no immediate uses for it in the city... Good to know.. I'll have to check out my sculptors' inventory! Always figured it was vagrants or raiders swiping the stuff, but if the sculptor is using it, then that's cool! Cheers |
