Default windows 2003 ?

Well, I have installed the Demo, and also the original Game on windows 2003 standart version.

I have do this both PC. Both have DirectX 9.0.
Both PC get 512 MB RAM
Both PC are P4
ATI Readon Chipset Asus Display driver.
Plus both display drivers running with the latest version Drivers.
All configs are right.
Hardware accerelation are at max.
etc.

But this Games let Windows crash. I got blue screen at windows 2003. Never seen before at win2003 at any game or application. So the dumping file stars to work...
So if one PC wrong ? Is the other one also wrong ? So why this ?
Any idea ? Thank you...

I wand to add also a another remark,

if this game doesn't run on win2003, why does it not notify people by starting at install ? %99 of applications do that. So if its work on XP it must be also run on server ver. Cause I have play all populer games since 1 years on win2003 platform.

Can you post your DXDIAG here - I saw in another thread that you said you couldn't post it because the game crashed, but the DXDIAG isn't specific to the game, it's a general thing for your PC>

Under the START>RUN menu type:
DXDIAG
Let the program run.
Select SAVE. Save the results to someplace where you can find it on your computer.

Then come back to this thread and post a new message and use the MANAGE ATTACHMENT function at the bottom to upload the DXDIAG.TXT file and then post your new message.

Well no reply from technical nothing...
And while looking at the forum at the so many problems, this shows me again, buy only games from known companys. People wand to play game, not to be a bug tracker or forum worm.

You posted your DXDIAG at 7pm Sunday night and complained about it not being answered at 5am Monday morning Tilted Mill time ... somewhat unfair. I'm sure one of the TM techs will answer once it's morning.

While waiting for TM folks to wake up and come into the office I have a couple of questions. From your DXdiag I see you didn't run the Direct Draw tests it might be a good idea to do that. Did you buy your game from a reliable US dealer in games since it's not available anywhere else? Did you install the latest Via chipset 4-1 drivers? There should be newer drivers for your video card and sound card. My Ati card is using drivers from July 2004 while the drivers your using are from May of 2004.

The game is not the problem it's a software/hardware problem with your system.

As mouse said see about updating sound and video drivers becouse:

Display Tab 1: The file ati2dvag.dll is not digitally signed, which means that it has not been tested by Microsoft's Windows Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL). You may be able to get a WHQL logo'd driver from the hardware manufacturer.

Sound Tab 1: The file ALCXWDM.SYS is not digitally signed, which means that it has not been tested by Microsoft's Windows Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL). You may be able to get a WHQL logo'd driver from the hardware manufacturer.

Also have you tryed installing and playing on the CDRW drive

I have done all this things wich you are talking about.
my display driver is an ATI Readen chipset at an Asus 9200SE.
An you can be sure the latest version of drivers are installed.
You asking about where I have buy the game. (US reliaber dealer) Please don't forget the world is not only US. I'm in europe and have buy the game from a Digital Center. so there are lot of places like this where they sale official such games.

And as I told before, the problem is not by playing or somewhere else. The game does start anyway. No splash screen, nothing. I just click at the icon at the desktop and wait. So Windows crash down and I get blue screen, which I have never seen before by win2003. And same goes by both PC. Both PC has an P4 CPU, Asus motherboard, 512 MB RAM or more, both has directX 9.0, asus ati redeon graphic card etc... so what more shall be there ?

I can't answer the tech stuff, but would point out that the game has only been released in the US so far - end of January for the rest of the world unless you buy it directly from the US.

Default I'm sorry to say...

Server 2003 isn't supported.

That said, I don't know of any reason it shouldn't work, and I would expect the other suggestions posted on this thread should get the game to run, but again, we don't support Server 2003.

Your video drivers are radion 4.5 the current version are 4.11 as ATI bring out new sets regually if you are using Asus drivers go to www.ATI.com and down load from there.

Yes, High interesting, the demo versions runs. So no any driver or hardware problem or conflict. So there is only one explanation, the install file at the CD must be corrupt. Thanks anyway....
