Sure way to reproduce this:
- Choose "Quick Links" -> "Mark forums read" from the top navigation bar - Hit the "New posts" link at the top You get the 'weird' error message because "getting all new posts" is just a special case of a "search" query. If the seach script can't find any threads matching your criteria (in this case, there are no unread posts), it spits out that error message. It's confusing, since you didn't enter any search terms when you clicked the 'new posts' link. |

vB remembers viewed posts based on the forum cookie that is set. This works fine as long as you don't log out (which clears your vB cookie). Chances are you were logged out before coming here that time and then logged in to find there were no "new posts". http://nilechild.com/ncsig2.gif Home of: NileChat | NileGames | NileTunes | Image Realm | NileExchange |
