opening .scn files

hi, sorry for having to ask this question, but whenever i try to download a .scn file, my XP Operating system doesn't know how to open it up. where should i put the files also?

It keeps trying to open the files up in explorer, which appearantly is the wrong to open it in.

Do i put them somewhere in the amongst the game files?

I'm sure that the extra .scn files are important to someone who wants to learn how to make their own scenarios and eventually campaigns.
