Default Linux version ?

Yes, a native Linux version would be very cool indeed. However, I think the best thing we can expect is that it will work with Cedega... let's hope the new "Linden" engine likes penguins

I know [par ailleur?] of many people who still play C3 under Linux with Cedega, thus a Linux version of C4 would be cool.

I think this will never happen except by the usual tools like wine.

They use DirectX and not Open GL so they i fear they would have to recode a lot and keep two different versions up to date. And VU might not really care about this...

*sigh*

Yes how much would i like to have games like this running on my Linux. DOOM 3 runs very well because its Open GL but thats nearly about all games i can get and i always have problems with sound support for Linux games...

Caesar I can be played easily under Linux!
Because Dos Box runs even better from a Linux than a Windows

All the old citybuilders run fine under WineX/Cedega here, without any sound problems... I haven't tried any other games though (besides CotN, which failed abysmally in Cedega).

Yes, it plays well ... however, did you get sound working? When I tried to install C1, it crashed on every single sound card option, so I just ran it by entering "caesar" without going through the "install" phase.
