Default Silos not working???

hi all.
couldnt find anything in the forums about this topic but i was wondering why the food from my threshing area isnt transported to my silos after harvest. didnt have this problem in the beginning but as my cities grow now i always get it. tried to build the silos right next to the threshing areas but that didnt help either and my bakeries always run out of food coz they cant get anything from the silo. anyone experienced this problem before? would be great if so could help.

It's maybe a stupid question, but what is an silos? In my city all the people are just taking the food from my threshing area, including the vagrants.

Your nobles and most your population will get food as a first choics (for some as only choice) in bakeries. When a bakery runs out of food it gets it from the silos...

Your silos aren't working? Do they all have missiles in them?

Granaries store the excess government share of the harvest. You will need scribes "assessing taxes" and counting fields for this to occur. Once you have them build a granary or two and any excess grain that has been assessed in taxes will be stored in the granary.

It must be my evil past but when I see the word "silos" I imagine missiles coming out from them...

Me three. Would you believe Egyptian Mutual Assured Destruction? No?

Apparently we're all a bunch of "city kids" (or suburban) because we *don't* think of tall things full of grain or corn. I suppose it's possible that we're just a bunch of bloodthirsty gamers.

I remember growing up in the 50's and 60's during the "Cold War" and driving by all the Nike missile sites around Chicago. There's even a abandoned site in the town that I know live in just across the state line here in NW Indiana.

I was wondering if is was really granaries from the start not silos, they weren't that smart, Mee Tooo city folk , yep, Tri-C had silos that were blown up on a public display,--- putting food aside is also very helpful, one of those circles at the bottom, reserve I think... works like a charm.

I'm a country kid originally, there was a massive silo at the farm near our house, never saw any missiles though
