CotN = Children of the Nile

CotN is Tilted Mill's first release, a 3D citybuilder based on ancient Egypt.

Many of the Tilted Mill team once were part of the Impressions Games devlepment team that created the Caesar III, Pharaoh, Zeus, and Emperor citybuilder games for Vivendi Universal Games/Sierra. Many of the TM team left Impressions in 2001. Impressions was itself closed officially in 2004. Those that left in 2001 formed Tilted Mill and started working on CotN, which was released in the fall of 2004.

Or "Crown of the North" (by paradox). One of those things. Just like whenever I see the abbreviation LOTR I think "Lords of the Realm" when in all probability it refers to "Lord of the Rings".

If they want, they can go download the CotN demo to get an idea of what the interface for C4 could look like and how the units(people) in the game act (ie- dif from 'walkers' system in the previous games).

lol thanks. yeah i tried installing C3 the other day because i was bored of all my modern games but it came up with that error report because i'm on xp, sorted it now from this site. Why the massive gap between C3 and C4 then? is CotN good?

To me CoTN is GREAT. But I know that not all people like it, it's different from C3. No random walkers, no "funny" market ladies, but CoTN people know want they want and need. Why not try the demo?

BUT endured abandoned without to make upgrade and not even new campaigns and scenarioss... blah!

It will be therefore also for C4?

hey i downloaded the demo and played it, its kind of confusing but i got the hang of it... thing is there are no mission objectives like C3 where you have to get a certain pop, prospirity etc... so does the level keep going and going until you get so bored you decide to through your computer out of the window for fun?

your objective is to learn how to play the new style of CB.....actually after playing a weekend of pharoah(same smell diffrent flower) I love cotn does not have that....and C4 hopefully will be the same.

CotN full game has objectives but not like your yust to with old CB games
