Default having quotes in between loading

having played a jist of rome: total war, i started to like how random quotes showed up in between loading the interface. i think this would be a nice little addition for caesarIV. having to ponder over the caesar IV quotes in between loading can kill that little time.

I like this idea, TM seems to be really good at coming up with funny little quips as seen on the C4 site.

Caesar, the men of the legion have lice....

Caesar, on second reflection, the lice of the legion have men.

I like that idea also. Just make sure that there's a ton of those quotes; the less often I see the SAME quote, the better. Lots of variety would make the quotes that much better.

Someone's been playing Rome:Total War.

They do that in RTW and it might look a bit "copy-cat-ish" especially from another game based on Rome.

I added all those RTW quotes to my "daily quotes" that appear at the top of my personal message forum called Panzerblitz. Those exact quotes have been appearing one at time each day for the past several months and are due end next month when the list restarts at the top and works down to them again. I've got about six or seven months of quotes loaded up.

An alternate, would be to have a voice actor record the quotes and have them play as audio clip during loading.

Well, yeah, he did kind of mention that in the first sentence of his post.

Well they also did that in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (a really great game). It gave a whole new depth to the game. The quotes don't really need to have humor; they can have like random facts about things like bath house history or how the fire brigade was started or something like that.

whatever the quotes are, keep in mind that they should be short enough to be read. i personally like to think about what i just read. and i would still like quotes from roman history though.

Finding authentic quotes will not be a problem. There's very little that stops TM from including this, unless their schedule is really tight .
