Default Forum KUDOS to the Tech Team !!!

This thread is NOT about Tilted Mill, cuz Technical Issues are their job.

This thread is about others. I am not in any way a Technical person. I actually am Computer Stupid. I also hate Kudos, especially to me, cuz it creates an atmosphere of Elitism. I hate that. We are no different from the new player, lost & confused. We are here to help. Me in my own limited way. I also hate the rungs concept for the same reason.

However, this is a VERY special case. Where would we be if The Game didn't work for us?

There are people on this forum who are always here to help players get their game to work. They did it for COTN & are STILL here, every day, to help with C4.

I am singling out Keith Heitmann ( Keith ) especially, cuz he has always done this. Here & Older CB forums. Waaay back yonder, on the old Sierra Forums, Keith helped me to get the Pharaoh Demo to work, when I switched to my Sony with XP & taught me about XP's Compatability Mode. The full Pharaoh worked on my computer, but I got no sound on the Demo.

Keith also answered my very first post on this forum in Dec 2004 & told me to buy the Radeon 9800 Pro that allowed me to play the Campaigns for COTN, since I could only play the Tutorials.

Keith is still here. He ALWAYS is here!

Next is Manni. Manni spends most time in the Foreign Language Section, but also is extremely helpful in the English Section.

Phil Walker is a relative newcomer, if you consider 02-19-2005 "new", but Phil took some time before he joined into helping with technical issues. Phil also is here every day to help.

Sorry if I left out anyone, cuz I definitely know there are more of you, especially in the Foreign Language Section!

This is dedicated to you all! Keep up the GREAT work!!!

Thumbs up

Thanks Mark for this thread.

Keith, Manni and Phil have all helped me at various times. And they are so patient with us dummies, explaining things for us, finding the right site, files, drivers and what not. Thank you guys, and Amenirdis too.

I'm gonna stop here & turn the Technical Section back to those who help us all so much & encourage those who received help to acknowledge those who have helped them.

It is absolutely GREAT that TM has such loyal supporters that we can depend on with Technical Issues!

Thank you all!

I've learned quite a bit from Keith over the years. He and mouse were the first techy buddies for me before Pharaoh was released. I lived on Imps forum and then found the new HG forum.

Mouse taught me about the left and right mouse click uses and some tags.. I asked Keith for information about animations, sound, flash, adding music to forum posts... the list goes on. He has always been a thoughtful professional correspondent.

I have not been around a lot to see who is helping in the Foreign forum, but I know there are quite a few others who pitch in and let the devs do their thing, with the deadline hot on their........ toes.

Thanks again helpers!
Julia
