Laborers and quarrying across the river

Postby mklangelo » Thu Mar 24, 2011 5:23 pm

The Overseer goes to the quarry but will the laborers need a local barge in order to ferry across and bring the stele or whatever across?

I understand a base needs to be in place before the quarrying can begin.

Thanks!

if they're across the river, the overseer and laborers can ferry themselves without the need for a local barge. when the laborers want to cross with the granite or basalt or any other quarry, then you need a local barge to carry the piece across the river.

at least, that's how i believe it works in the game.

Yep, Prof is correct. You do not need landings & barges to quarry, only to transport quarried item across the river (Overseer set on construct) after quarrying is complete.

For the river transport with Overseer set on construct, the landings on both sides need to stick out into DEEP water. If the process is not working, add new landings in different locations & these landings do not need to be close to either quarry & city. Leave the old landings too, just add more.
