Ages of people?

Postby Sereniama » Sun Oct 05, 2014 5:43 pm

Is there any way to check the ages of a certain person? I understand that the Pharaoh's age can be determined in the ticker, but what about everyone elses' age?

Hello again. :)

That's a good question!

I don't believe there is any documented age for the people. In fact, I'm not sure there is any documentation of individual Cotnizens at all.

They exist on the screen, and the game engine takes care of them, including their names (and changes the name if you like), and adjusting the names of people (women they marry, children), but I don't believe there is any record of their ages.

Even if it is not possible to know the age, educated people age since after a certain time they retire.

Hey vic, how you been?

That's a good point, and one I didn't consider.

Now the question is, what's the retirement age? :D

Always checking for news :D
I don't think retirement age is specified.

It is my opinion that retirement like the death of a pharaoh is just a random occurrence in the game and it can occur at almost any time. I've had pharaohs die on me just as my game was getting started in less than 1 seasonal cycle.

True about the Pharaohs, Keith. Also a reasonable assumption about retirement.
