Countdown for what?
probably the CoTN Expansion or
maybe a new game will be announced?

but I wonder what the artwork is about then...

Dryads in Egypt? That seems unlikely...

Dryads are from Greek mythology right?

well then I will assume you are doing a spiritual successor to Zeus
in the CoTN style. :)

Now that Reed has let the dryad out of the bag, this thread urgently needs a Woo person or a Yay person to come along and say either Woo or Yay, otherwise it will stand as one of the lowest-keyed announcements in the history of gaming.

Isn’t it also traditional to have some pointless speculation on the name? Boring but sensible like Zeus II, perhaps? Has ‘Pantheon’ ever been used? Or, if the ultimate building item is the golden statue of Athena that once lived inside the Parthenon, maybe they’ll call it Parthenos.

Anyway ~ I like the look of this girl a lot, so if the artwork is representative of the game-flavour that’s very promising - mysterious and stylised but not cartoony.

I will neither yay or boo until I even know what the game is o_0
Dryads seem to appear in a number of religions lol

it might even be a fantasy game like Lords of Magic or something.

guess we just have to wait 9 days.. except I'm moving on the 10th so I will wait erm... 15 days or so before I can even view the internet o_0

(grrr!)

I am sorry, but I thought we were getting an upgrade for CotN and now it looks like we will be getting a completely different game. Not that I am opposed to a new game, I just wanted more of CotN. :)

they can work on two things at once.
Im sure they are still working on the CoTN expansion still
actually I bet they are either already testing it or about to start.

I think the 18 pt. type and illustration on TM’s front page, announcing that there will soon be an enhanced edition of CotN, coupled with the 18 pt. type and illustration announcing something else completely new in the pipeline, all qualifies as a veiled and subtle hint that – just possibly - two projects might be underway.

I wonder what those arrows on the image are for?

I'm sort of wondering if in the future we can click them to cycle images.

I'm sort of getting ahead of myself but wouldn't it be cool to have one new image per day?

Holy Banana boats! Wowie wowie... The gfx sure looks like Chris' artwork. I've seen some of his things on the gfx site. Someone pinch me!

I believe that we can actually use the 'arrows' in the future because when you hover your mouse on it, you can see some words which might give you an idea on what's the use of it ;) The drawing is really nice, but as Sim-Maire asked, will that be a CB game, or other genre? (From the way the teaser image was drawn, it looks more like a RPG game or any FPS / TPS game)

Thanks :)

Yep. In fact, all the images you'll be seeing in there were painted by him.

More CotN is in the works as well. From the last CotN update:

"We believe in supporting our products as best we can post release, and are therefore also in the process of creating a series of content packs for CotN that will always be well worth the loaf of bread to barter for."
