Whats Everyone playing now?
Roll Through the Ages --fast playing game with civ upgrading. Not a true civ, but still fun.

Agricola --expanding a single farm with medieval technology upgrades.
http://bgg.cc/boardgame/31260
Phoenicia --another "expand your island" game, but since you're all merchants, auctions replace warfare.
http://bgg.cc/boardgame/28620
Kingsburg --Interesting how tech-tree unlocking has now made its way to board games.
http://bgg.cc/boardgame/27162
Brass --Industrial Revolution setting, building networks of cotton mills, mines, machine works. The cooperative-competitive element is very well done.
http://bgg.cc/boardgame/28720
After the Flood --Babylonian setting is unusual. Combat element is from Vinci/Small World.

Dominion --It just won "Game of the Year" in Europe. Deck building game.

From what i have been reading, the owners of MoM are asking a huge chunk of money for the rights to the game, that no one is willing to pay.
You might want to look at Elemental: War of Magic by Stardock (Feb 2010)

Why, thank you

Still wish they would re-do MoM. That was the 1st game I played and the start of my gamer addiction.
