Is Grumpus still out there?

Postby GovernorSimulus » Wed Aug 05, 2009 8:50 pm

I am trying to contact Grumpus, the author of the website "Which Way to Rome?" which is about CaesarIII. If Grumpus is out there or anyone knows how to contact them I'd appreciate getting in contact with them. My message is that Geocities, which hosts "Which Way to Rome?" will be closing Oct 26 and am asking Grumpus to move WWTR to some other web host before it disappears too.

Have you checked at Heaven Games? I haven't seen Grumpus around here in a very long time.

I recently moved my own Caesar 3 page from GeoCities to Tripod.com. Times are hard and a lot of the free internet hosts and services are closing up.

There have been some problems with his web site some years ago, so that was the time I got a copy to mirror that site. Here it is:
http://www.staedtebauen.de/extern/grumpus/which_way_to_rome/index.html
and
http://www.staedtebauen.de/extern/grumpus/which_way_to_thebes/default.htm

Both are a few years old, so if there have been recent changes, I would be interested to be updated.

WOW Tobing, that is awesome. I forgot about Grumpus C3 site (it is so informative) and am glad you have access to it.

Hmmmmmmmm, I wonder where Grumpus is these days. Didn't he do the "Which Way to Wasat" for CoTN?

Seems that both sites are unchanged. I had contacted him at that time to have his permission, and maybe some zip files with the content. No idea about Which Way to Waset, and I couldn't find that site now.

It is, but soon it won't be available at the link due to the recent announcement by GeoCities.

Ah, well, there you have it. Grumpus has sort of vanished. I haven't seen him around here in ages.

Maybe someone should save all the Which way to Thebes pages before they're wiped out also?

Caesar Jan's Palace on Geocities too!

Hey all, I just noticed that Caesar Jan's Palace, an excellant C3 reference, is ALSO on GC. So someone needs to contact him or mirror the site soon.
