Hey, I'm just starting my career in game development, and I had a few questions regarding Hinterland.
I was looking at the texture maps in Hinterland and I see that most of the textures are very low res, like 128x128. Why did the developers use such small textures? Also it is strange to me that body armour has the same map size as a glove, is there a reason for this? Also I thought that using UV and specular maps on such small maps? I thought 128x128 maps is more like DS specs? I would like to know why such restrictions on texture size were used, I am eager to learn as much as I can about game art.
