NOOOOOOO! :(

Miss you Reed, you're one of the greatest game devs I met. :( I'll help out with testing when you need me to. :) And I can forgive the fail that is EA.

Technically, EA has been wildly successful. Yes, they peddle a lot of trash sometimes, but sometimes great games come out from their bowels...

As an aside--

It has been wildly successful because it is run like an investment business, not a games company. They simply acquire other companies (like IBM.. IBM is pretty much in the same business as EA) to grow.

A few game companies have tried this business method (like Infogrames), but most have failed within 5 or so years. Smaller companies tend to either break apart within 5-10 years as their lead devs leave or they get bought out and then their employees are absorbed into a bigger company... and usually the new division is then broken apart itself if the lead dev(s) leave and money/patience from the parent co. vanish.
