In Memorium ~ thegrad

Postby Tinkerbell » Sat Mar 06, 2010 11:21 pm

Today we have a HUGE hole in the beloved Tilted Mill Family.

thegrad, the most gifted & prolific COTN scenariomaker that we have ever had, has passed on from this mortal coil after a long illness & now sits next to our God. Grad joined the forum 11-27-2005 has posted about 40 scenarios in the User-Created Section, mostly in her campaigns that she & we loved so very much. Grad remains our ONLY campaign maker to this day.

Grad also betaed most of TM's most recent games.

Requiescat in pace, Grad

We miss you terribly!

Your enduring spirt is still with us forever.

Your Eternal Friend & Lab Partner

All my love and admiration

Mark Duffy

I want to reiterate Tink's sentiment. The Grad will be sorely missed. I always got a lot of information from her posts.

Sorry to hear it. What a shame she had to go. It's a terrible loss to our little community.

It's always sad news to me when someone listed as "Retired" dies. But yes, her contributions will be missed in the future.

Grad has been laid to rest near her home in Florida. She lived a full life and passed on at the age of 73.

When she joined the forum I was the Proud Ugly Builder & Warmnger from wargaming. Grad was the Pretty Peaceful Builder.

Needless to say, she won & I surrendered. She taught me to build Pretty & especially build pyramids that I absolutely hated to do. If I did not build at least one pyramid in every scenario, she would kick my butt! :D

When you play COTN & build a pyramid, please think of Grad, My Teacher!

Grad has also posted Zeus/Poseidon Adventure downloads at HeavenGames, her favorite Impressions CB & mine before COTN.

Thank You all!

:)

Oh my, I'm shocked too... she was a great partner when we played Nile Online. Usually to the point, didn't use to talk much about herself, but we traded with and trusted each other for months.
Sympathies to her family as well. I'm sure the time she spent with us all was the best it could possibly be.

Indeed & Thank You!

Others might have known Grad by her second accounts after immortality on each Nile server ~ Lucky Lady & Betty Boop. The Betty Boop one cracked me up! :D

I've just recently been playing some of Grad's scenarios again. This is indeed sad news.

May she rest in peace and her family find comfort in her having lived.
