The TM Next Project Poll

Postby Thucydides » Thu Jun 08, 2006 4:11 am

ok, what would you like to be the next project that TM undertakes? The rules are simple. One vote, one person. Everything visable. No closing date.

Space, the final frontier.... ;)

As long as it's something original in a citybuilder and not just yet another colony game like Outpost, etc. Space race, space station, but nothing too far along the purely Sci-Fi line of things either. I have in mind something more in the line of a science-possible.

My decision is made. I would very much like a sequel to "Lords of Magic."

And Thucy, it should be "Lords of Magic II", not III. ;)

My apologies to the Lords of Magic fans... unforunately it is too late to edit the poll (a kink in the system).

I voted middle ages as I loved Anno 1503 up to a point but think the concept could be expanded on and improved.

Was considering the ancient option but we already have those (except for Aztecs  ).. But space is very cool, I liked Space Colony from the building point of view but didn't like having to micro manage my workers relationships with eachother, soooo, would prefer something along the lines of a traditional citybuilder but in space, and as Keith said science-possible not science fantasy :)

Beam me up Scotty! :D Image

Thinking what would I like to build. Prehistoric, is there enough to be built, probably not. Fantasy has enough possibilities, but they could be too fantastic for my taste. :p Middle ages..hm...possibly no. Expansion packs for CoTN or and C4...yes please. :) Modern cities...we have already those games although not made by TM (besides not interested in playing and building something I see around me every day). So is it the space? Oh, that would be nice. Enough things to do but only some fantasy, not too much.
I vote space! :)

:( :( :( To many to choose from. but I think that a fantasy/ancient to fantasy/middle ages or modern would be good. Something that most likly hasn't happened but is still plausible would be nice, and not nessesarily a true 'classic' CB game.
But I like the sound of almost all of the other ones to.

Hey TM vote ;)

i think that there are still many facets of ancient/prehistoric city building left unventured.

After I git MY COTN EXPANSION (big enough letters?) ....

Then I wanna build in Space.

I want to build the infrastructure on Earth, a Space Station & then explore.

I want early steps, recounting the historical Space Race, but don't just stop there.

I want many Starships, colonies & aliens.

Make it so, Data! :)

Thank you to all those who have voted so far. Space is edging into the lead (even without counting Mark's qualified vote for space). Any more voters out there? Phil... ? :)

LOM 2. I want something strategy next at any rate. Branch out a little, then perhaps get back into the CB realm again :)

Ancient American Civilizations. Not just one, many in one game.
Colonial America & American Revolution
America's Western Expansion

The have been a couple, at least one, game based ont he revolutionary war in the past. Of course those were strictly wargames and not citybuilding. Didn't that game Settlers handle part of colonial America to some degree?

The cities weren't all the same or run the same so it would be kind of hard to make a game with common buildings for each and every city.
