Great Fun

This has been my favorite scenario so far. I have never built a city this large and I didn't even get to the wonders before I won but I am going to continue playing it and build both wonders. I found that little flattened hill for the Lighthouse when I first started playing. I loved the Oceana scenario and this one is so great too. I love your scenarios.

I downloaded the scenario and have Alexandria installed, but it doesn't show up on the Scenario list when I try to select Scenarios to play. In fact, I now have only a few scenarios listed in my Steam file. I haven't played for several months and thought I had a lot more scenarios to play with Alexandria. I do find it in my Children of the Nile file, but crash to desk top everytime I try to play CotN. I can't play anything on CotN now!! Any suggestions?

On my machine Alexandria is installed in; C:\Program Files\Children of the Nile\

Scenario files in; C:\Program Files\Children of the Nile\Data\Scenarios

The latter is where the Abu Qir.scn file should be placed.

It may also work if placed in My Documents\Tilted Mill\Children of the Nile\Scenarios . Not for sure.

Not for sure where Steam places it's files so hope this helps.

Thanks for your effort. I do have the same set up for my files. I don't know where Steam has located Alexandria-- I may contact them since I can't see it as I search my cpu.

I have all my saved games listed when I play Alexandria-- just don't have have many Scenarios there. Strange. I have downloaded and played all the user scenarios over the years and no trouble until now.

Thanks anyway.

Hi Evening Star!

Alexandria places the new scenarios always in
my documents\Tilted Mill\Children of the Nile\scenarios

Your old savegames and scenarios may be in the same location as you originally installed the game. You can copy them into the my documents folder to see them again, too.

When you download an user created scenario, you are asked where you want to save them. If you don´t remember where you saved it, do a search for the file via explorer and drag it into the my documents\etc. folder, then it should show up in the list. Or you simply download the scenario again.

Hope this helps! Otherwise, maybe the guys and girls in the tech support forum can help you. :o

Sakisura,

It worked! Can we play other scenarios with Alexandria-- how do we know which ones are made for Alexandria?

Thanks for all the help.

The scenarios that came with Alexanderia should be in
C:\Program Files\Children of the Nile\Data\Scenarios

User made scenarios should state what they are made to run with.

Howdy, Evening Star!

With Alexandria XPac installed, you should be able to play all COTN scenarios ever created.

Excellent scenario! is this the only one where you can build the lighthouse and library together on the same map?

Thank you. Yes, so far I'm the only user who has made an Alexanderia only scenario and Ptolemy II is on the drawing board. :)

Nice city! So, you didn't find or didn't like my spot for the lighthouse? :)

Oh, it doesn't have to be there, I was just curious. Yours is better because you can see both on same screen.

Didn't mean for you to go out of the way, but by the looks of the limestone train, it didn't take long anyway. :)
