For those of you who love to

* micromanage resources, trade and food supply
* struggle with low food production
* encounter bad surprises
* crave for hard earned prestige
* build up a society from only a few villagers
* and despite all these difficulties build up a great city slowly

this is the sandbox for you!

The map has enough space to build a bigger city, but you have to fight for everything else. Food, people, even basic resources will not come easily. This is not a game to walk away from for too long.

Note that every difficulty you will stumble across is well intended...

Edit: Since scenario files are no longer hosted by Tilted Mill, I have resurfaced a copy and uploaded it at http://cotn.heavengames.com

Thank you so much for a very interesting scenario. I am really enjoying the challenge. You have obviously put a lot of time into this 'very hard sandbox'.

This is exactly what Cotn needed, thank you for the work you've done on this, Sakasiru. :D

PS.
I love the way gardens, hedges and trees look when placed on desert terrains. The green of the plants and the beiges of the desert compliment one another nicely.
I'll be posting some rare screenshots just for you!

Cross between "Monstrous" and "grumble".....I needed bricks (of course) so wandered off. Came back to a disaster. Fortunately, I saved b/4 I left, so can go back and try to avert problems.

You have certainly created a challenge!

I love this one, but it came very close to driving me insane. Like, throwing the computer out the window, growing a beard and moving to a unibomber shack in the woods type insane. Every time I thought I had it figured.... BOOM. Kind of wonderful.

I'm so glad someone's still playing and thanks for the feedback! I hope being insane now is fun, since that was the entire purpose for making this scenario ;) :p
