You are getting better. Repetition pays off. The multi-choice questions are tough and require quick thought and fingers. They are the hardest in the quiz. I wanted a wide range of easy to very hard.

I hope people are learning things too. ;)

I've just finished "First Man in Rome", am working on the "Grass Crown," and have "Fortune's Favorite" etc.. lined up for re-reading. Colleen McCullough's Men of Rome Series. She is a wonderful researcher and story teller.

I had the answers, but could not type that fast. LOL, its a test on how fast fingers can type too. =P

Just tried it there for the first time - I didn't even know it was here! (I see there's an egyptian one as well, must give that a go) First go, score plumeted on the Forum types and Currency questions, got back up on the general knowledge and military ones to finish with a grand score of 6. MUST TRY HARDER!!! :D

The sound is the BEST part! :D

(Makes me laugh at my wrongs! :p Hey, it's something... )

Try the volume control on your speakers. ;)

-3 looks like my favorite number!

I get different questions every time. It doesn't help.

Sorry, that too is part the applet and the sounds are encoded into the that file. All you can do is turn your volume down if it bothers you.

Eventually, you'll start to get them it's just a matter of repetition. It may take a while.

I hadn't played the quiz myself in about 4 months and got 5 wrong myself.

That's pretty good for a first time. You can find a lot of the answers on the sites that I posted in my SPQR Links.

Well...

SOME of us cannot even do/enjoy things with such time limits for answers. So, I won't even attempt it. For those of you who can, enjoy, but not for me :( !!! Take off the time settings and I might try it, although I doubt it could be done.

Sincerely,
Phil

I think it's 20, the quiz should be 25 questions. ;)

I have a suggestion on it keith.I think everytime we choose the wrong answer, it auto mark the correct answer and we will learn something when we use it.

Thanks :)

I thought you said it subtracts one if you get it wrong? Just a simple miss? No penalty for wrong answers?

Man-o-man. Now I feel really bad...

~ ~ ~

Nope, I just checked, Keith. I got correct, wrong, correct on first three questions. My score was 1. No penalty if you don't guess.

If you got 5 wrong, then you got 20 correct. 20 - 5 = 15

Hint: You cannot get a negative score w/o a penalty. ;)

Man-o-man, I am such an idiot. DON'T GUESS, people!

RE-EDIT: Yeah !!! +7 (A NEW Record!) :) :) :)

Can't do it. The applet controls every thing and it is hard coded into a jar file that I cannot change.

The only thing I can control are what the question are, how many questions there are in the total database the applet draws from, and whether those questions are true false or multiple choice.
