No one was awake when you posted your request for help. It was 5am here.

For some reason Windows is having a problem with Caesar IV. It could be a number of things causing the problem from bad memory, to corruption in the game's program on your hard drive, to a virus, etc.

The error message you are seeing is probably coming from Windows Data Execution Prevention application. This protects Windows from malicious code that it thinks it has detected in a program.

You can try adding Caesar IV to the DEP "exception list".

Open the Windows Control Panel.

Open Performance and Maintenance.

Open System.

Click on the Advanced tab.

In the Performance section click on the Settings button.

Click on the Data Execution Prevention tab.

Be sure that the button next to the line "Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select:"

Then use the ADD button to BROWSE for the caesariv.exe file. Select your caesariv.exe file and then click on the APPLY and OK button.

Close all the menues. Reboot the PC and try Caesar IV again.

If that doesn't fix the problem follow all the steps but use the REMOVE button to remove caesariv.exe from the list if you want to return to the way things are now.

If that does not work, you can always try uninstalling and reinstalling Caesar IV to see if that cures the problem.
