Could not write license data!

Hi,
Caesar IV was successfully installed and working fine 2 weeks ago, now today i went to play and got the message: "Could not write license data! Please contact customer support for further instructions"
Im playing an original copy with real CD key. It has worked recently on my system. I tried uninstalling and re-installing, re-install worked fine but still the same message. Im running windows 7. Any ideas?

ay be you should install as administrator.

Do as Vic said, and try setting the compatibility mode to XP on the caesariv.exe file.

If that fails try running the Windows Program Compatibility Troubleshooter program to install the game.
