lol Okay. 1 is a distant angle shot with the castle ruins, cemetery complex, and some of the local homes in the foreground. 2 is the long shot down the dreaded lane. 3 is the closer shot of the gates.

hehehe looks like the leftovers of my first city after I was so horrified with what a mess I'd made that it called for The Wrath of the Gods. ;)

I guess the challenge is for everybody, but there's no extra foreign language forum on the official site. Seems that EA assumes that everybody can read and understand english (american actually) and visits the US part of the site in addition to the foreign language part. I won't tell you at this place what I think about this attitude...

CityBuildingContests is having their first contest. Everyone is welcome to post in their own language. Somehow there are others who can translate or we bablefish the post. There are several French speakers who frequent CBC's forums and at times our contests are translated into French. We have invited the German sites to participate as well. We mirror other language contest sites if they provide translations for us and the early notice so we can work with them.

You are welcome to post at CBC, it doesnt matter what language, all we require is a respectful attitude to all members and a sense of fairness.

Sign in for the forum and post in the contest thread. Any adjustments to our goals, technical issues will be talked about in there.

Welcome!

I've got a question about screen shots. My screen shots default to a size of 800x600. Is there a setting somewhere in the game to make them larger?

Here's my last couple from Libera... I've grown it to about 25,000 population and am pretty much finished. Time to move on to something else!

Change your game resolution in the Settings, TombRaiderBC. Usual stuff.

What Tink said... Screenshots are done at game screen resolution.

Enjoying everybody's screens... here's a few from my city Rio de Dinero. Tropical setting, was going for Fat Cat but wound up taking Jack of All Trades too. My biggest city to date :) I love the way different parts of the same town can have totally different feelings, even with the unifying graphic themes.

While laying out the vineyards and associated cottages and chalets for my latest city, Nightshade Heights, I saw a couple things that blew my mind and I had to get screenies...as well as one of sunrise over the city as seen from the grape fields.

Red Moon?! The Aurora Borealis?!?!

Iron Fist is a city I created in Freeplay mode to see if the game could handle a full map before crashing. The answer is no, it couldn't. Same run time error message as before the patch, far from a full map. In any case, here are a few screen shots of my last city.

(You will note the city is full of State Television monitors. Almost every corner. The populous is fully propagandized drones in this town.)

haha! Nice! Is that from the holiday mod pack?

Just curious as I didn't like that, for some reason, that pack REPLACED some of my buildings with snowy ones...whether it was supposed to or not I don't know, but it messed up some of my cities so I removed it.
