Patch 5 creating mod problems? Nah! I can place murals across the road now and create my own road blocks! My Sims haven’t noticed, though. They just drive or walk straight through them! Take this pick for instance. I’m not sure who to feel sorry for the most: The horse, the Sims in the cart, or the wall! :D

This is only my second posting and I would like to a big ‘thank you’ to those who have created mods, and all the effort you have put into them.

Rick.

Colorful Banks!

Postby Ocram » Thu Jun 19, 2008 6:11 pm

Here are some screenshots of the banks I made/recolored (the first one has to blue-purple federal banks because I accidentally left the green federal bank xml pointing to the blue-purple texture but I fixed that as seen in my second pic). Once I make the SCS pack I'll upload it here but it takes a long time to make the scs pack right.

(1) rider in a hurry (2) looks like a rider doing a trick but he's about to spawn on his horse :D (3) a corral

Island Region

Postby JennyArthur » Wed Jul 02, 2008 1:08 am

This is a region I did using the "islands" map that comes with the game. I went to each island and flattened the land so it would give me more space and allow bridges. (Note: bridges ended up going "accordion-style" where it met the land mass, but still seemed to function okay.)

I had five different areas: Medieval, College/Romantic, Small Town, Asian, and Fun.

Whew! :o

Island Region 2nd Version

Postby JennyArthur » Wed Jul 02, 2008 2:05 am

This is another version of the island region, this time with industrial, authoritarian, capitalistic, "brick", and cyberpunk areas, all connected with bridges.

I really like the last pic on the first set, with the bridge and the pagodas. very nice designs.

There is only one workplace that I won't place anywhere near the middle of town. My nuclear program is for peaceful purposes only, and if anyone has a problem with that, my armies will defeat you in glorious combat.

This game generates some beautiful scenery for one to pollute into ugliness. The water around Moon City used to be so pretty and blue.

Ahhh! The pristine :cough: mountain air of Ames. On a clear day you can see the whole city, but Ames hasn't seen a clear day in generations.

Nice pictures everyone. Here's some from my city of Loraine, a romanticized authoritarian city. Don't mind the bad fish :p .

New Sim Station is a beautiful agricultural community. But it's hard to develop a skyline with clock towers and silos.

Tilted Mill did a great job on those skies. They make your town look real. ;)

I finally beat Hardcore in Destinations. Here's my images to show how I progressed my city over time from beginning to end.

The keys to victory were very large retail stores that sell private home accessories, greek revivals, communal guardens (lots of them), child safe venues, and a ton of patience.
