Announcement re Game Update coming

Postby Chris Beatrice » Fri Dec 14, 2007 6:26 pm

All,
We’ve been working on a significant game update for SCS for the past several weeks. We’re of course anxious to share more details about it with you, including letting you know when it will be available, and will do so sometime next week.

All I can say about it right now is that we are really excited to continue to advance SCS, and to respond in real terms to all the thoughtful feedback we’ve gotten about the game.

This will be the first in a series of updates, introducing new features, as well as enhancements to existing features.

We really appreciate your patience.

-Chris

Thank you, Chris. :) I was sure TM is working hard on a new update. It's great you let us know that, this post of yours will (hopefully) calm down those anxious frustrated players who are having technical problems with the game.

If this means I can play full-screen, I'll be a very happy bunny.

So, the game is being repaired and upgraded. A well received show of goodwill. Thanks.

I was going to post a reference to this from the "official" board to here,

" Hi folks,

We know there is a lot of anticipation for news on the next game update, and the SimCity team is just as anxious to announce what we've been working on for the last few weeks. In fact, we are extremely excited and can't wait to give you the news. We are putting the finishing touches on the official announcement, and we'll proclaim it far and wide next week.

For now, for the loyal SimCity forum community, here are a few details... there is a new game update coming. It's a large update, with many new features and enhancements. Its contents are based on the many requests from the fan base. It is the first in a series of updates.

That's all we can say for now. Keep your eye on simcitysocieties.ea.com next week for more details. Have a great weekend!

Thanks,
SimLeaderKB & The SimCity Team"

Wow...I haven't been able to stop playing it since I got it last night (was up all night playing...until after 8:00 am here lol!) and there's already a "big" update with new and enhanced features? *gulps* I may have to spring for a new CPU! hehe

I feel extremely lucky that I've had no crashes on my system, and it's by no means even near top of the line "late model" stuff. I can't wait to see how this update beats up my machine. :D

Thanks Christ. My hat is off to you and to TM team for so ever working hard.
TM took huge responsibility called "SC" (Fan-base is larger than life), my day dream and escape from reality. I think, I can speak for most, when I say; Please, accept our semi-apology, and I hope we do it again in not so near future. ;)

Thanks.

Ironically, "Near top of the line" systems like mine are the ones crashing. Funny huh? I don't' think so.

Enjoy SCS, its a great game.

Very good news, would love to know what the new features are going to be, if new options are added i hope they will be options you can chosee to turn on or off.

This is why I love this company. Very view devs go out and talk to their fanbase like this.
