The first thing I would do is download patch 5
http://simcitysocieties.ea.com/updates/details.php
If you got the Deluxe version or Destinations, you wont need this patch

Be aware that some people said the game had more stability issues after patch 5, but most people found it performed better, and it added many features.

I don't know of any on-line version of the manual, but the in-game help is pretty good. And play the tutorial.

Hope that helps..

I don't have SCS let alone the D2D version of it, but many games nowadays come with virtual manuals in PDF format.

Did you look in the game's install folder to see if there was a manual PDF file?

If it doesn't have one, the contact D2D and see what they say. The EA SCS official website doesn't list a manual as one of their downloads

Thanks Keith

I've looked everywhere for it but no luck. I did put a ticket in with EA.

Howdy, Hanner!

Both the original SCS disk & also SCS/Destinations in the SimCtiy Box disk come with paper manuals.

Sorry, but I cannot find a manual in either disk files either, so you are not missing out there by buying the download version.

I also have the Prima Game Guide from Amazon & it might be still available, but it is a bit dated now & only covers the original SCS w/o patch updates.

there seems to be a small installations manual only. You get in game help when you load the game and you click on the help icon.

Play the tutorial, too

Good luck, I sure hope the game plays for you. Mine doesn't. Destinations that is.

The excellent paper manuals (they also have the cd keys on the back cover & hotkeys)

SCS ~ 28 pages
Destinations ~ 44 pages

Mostly gameplay too!

Sad that there is no pdf in the game files that I can find, especially since Destinations was originally released as download only with SimCity Box as an afterthought.
