I happen to bring up the old site the other day
and found all of our/theirs/everyones old postings
just listed April 3, 2008

http://www.immortalcities.com/cotn/

You can click Children of the Nile at the top of this forum also to take you there

It had all the old usersets and screenshots from people like CatMajik, MAX-1, Sitearm and SheRA13 etc.

it excited me

I would surmise that they (Tilted Mill) got the rights back to the game from the publisher (myelin).

Reinterpreting the loose terminology used in the news release the have possession of the website and the game itself.

There is a hint of a future with the invitation to check back for news and updates (expansaion pack??) about COTN and the Immortal Cities series.

I was wondering if the reorganisation of the forum and the return of the old CotN "job titles" signified anything.

LOL I'm not so sure it clearly does. An announcement is clear, but it could be a hint at it. It could also be just another scenario or a patch or a special edition DVD rom edition (with Egypt: Engineering an Empire as a bonus)...

I just wonder how soon is soon??!!

I don't know, getting the rights back, putting, CotN on top of the forums, and changing back the titles seems to foreshadow something bigger imho.

I don't really care if it is 'big' or not.
just the fact they got the rights to their game and put back the site
seem to lighten the forums up a lot :)

of course an expansion is more than welcome but I would also be happy with a patch and a few new scenarios ;)

Psh, I'll be happy with whatever beans they spill, as long as they do it quickly. I admit, i have no patience.

How about today? ;)

Just posted some news to the site. We're not getting into specifics quite yet, but will be putting out updates pretty regularly going forward.

Immortal Cities: Children of the Nile Update

Tilted Mill believes passionately in Children of the Nile and remains committed to developing the Immortal Cities series further. To that end, the company is going to be supporting existing fans with some new goodies, and will also be bringing the game and series as a whole to new players who may not have gotten a chance to partake of what we continue to feel is a unique and refreshing city building experience.

We'll be providing more information on specific products and timing in the coming weeks, so please check back!

Thank you, Reed! :D
