What about the CotN Engine?

Postby Benni003 » Sat Aug 09, 2008 1:07 am

Hi,
I'm really happy that Tilted Mill develop CotN further.
But What about the CotN Engine?
Will Tilted Mill develop the Engine a bit further?
In my opinion the graphic is not bad :)
but particularly the shadows should look like a bit better.
Does anyone agree with me?
(not the best English) :D

CotN's engine was licensed originally from "Empire Earth."

ok, you're right.
But I think they could although make a bit better grafik.
The water could look like a bit better with the Empire Earth Engine.

In my opinion CotN is a super game and the graphic is good too. ;)

Benni003...It is true to say that the graphics of Children of the Nile are crude by todays standards. Although the 1.3.0.1 patch was meant to address some graphical glitches, many still exist. The announcement with regard to CotN is that, post patch, Tilted Mill intend to offer an expansion campaign/scenario for download next. Given that Tilted Mill employees are currently beavering away on Hinterland, I wouldn't expect any improvements to the CotN engine soon. CotN is best played with the game viewed from on high although having a close look can come up trumps. I accidentally followed an entertainer on his way to a Nobles house and spotted his funny back walking; cool. Mind you, given that the intro movie clip shows a female entertainer, how come the in-game entertainer is male?

Try following the wife or child next time. ;)
