Please, stop by and visit http://nilejumper.leapmaker.com ... be sure and watch the movie short "Stargate to Children of The Nile : Immortal CIties" in the movies section. Thanks. :D

Howdy, Acu-Ra!

Nice site. Well done!

Didja notice in the COTN intro that TM originally planned on EIGHT Laborers to Haul?

Then SIX...

I was not aware of that. 8 laborers? That would have made it take longer to build the pyramids. More difficult to be a proven macro manager echoing through the ages. Then they analyzed gameplay and found success come to he who thinks smartly about gameplay and the leaders who would try... As well as the stress and duration it might unecessarily place on the little workers.

That is quite possibly the slowest loading website i've ever been to.

Odd, I have never had that issue on any site I have ever created (Well actually there was one, but I find and resolve!). I do visit it myself, regularly so I know it does not load slowly on my end. Perhaps COX cable or somewhere inbetween is an issue.

I actually found the same thing. The site comes up quickly, but the background image took a while to download: something like 2 minutes, slowly panning down.

Once it is loaded, the site is fine, however.

I have collected almost all of the alpha & beta images that TM released to various sites in 2004 coming forward.

The game has changed a bit & it is quite a HOOT following the evolution of the Greatest Game Ever Designed in the History of Humankind™! :D

Hmmm...Well I click it all of the time the backround will stall out sometimes, but usually that is due to retarded network (from nearby people who somehow got on my node) access and lasts a short while. The majority of the time the background I made on the site load nearly instantly with very quick access to the menu. Again, I cannot be certain when accessed from outside my internal network, but the times I did access it I noticed no speed issues. I did notice some speed issues while watching some of the movies, but they still played smoothly all the way through.

I have uploaded a scenario I created "Dakhla Oasis" to it. Dakhla is a break from the standard nile river scenery... http://nilejumper.leapmaker.com . I will post more description in "User Created Scenarios" (same as what's on the web site).
