Anybody Home?

Postby Yahya » Thu Jun 02, 2011 6:06 pm

I've had nothing to say of late, and apparently neither has anyone else! :D

Well, I was planning to post pictures of my 1000 farmer city, but it started getting a bit laggy toward the 900 mark :P

I have tried to make one of these huge cities, but I just get bored :( I am fairly sure I am not a REAL city-builder, but I love CoTN :)

CotN has languished lately. Partly because I've been mainly on my ageing laptop which doesn't run it very well.

It seems clear that there are a few of us still looking here now and then, but that by far the most active members of this community are the &^%$ private message spammers.

If I'm not mistaken, we are not able to upload pictures right now due to some security issues (that could be another site), but I can get nonsense unsolicited SPAM in my PM box at about one per week.

That seems ass-backwards to me.

If you get a PM spam be sure to forward it to at least me so we have the evidence and names. If you just delete it it lets them continue.

I'm still checking here off and on. I wish Tilted Mill would announce something new!

I have sent one to Reed before, but got no answer though I had asked a question, so I assumed he's not paying attention any more, perhaps wrongly.

I say this often, but I have some plans. I just haven't been able to find the motivation to work on my plans lately. Granted, I can't do any real modifications or an expansion, but I can put together some good campaigns if I just work on them.

In the true spirit of a creator, I come up with more ideas every day than I have time to produce them all. I've come up with I think four new ideas in the last couple of months, and I still have a backlog of about ten stories.

I might have to start setting aside an hour or so per day to work on things, so I can get some work out there and entertain y'all. Of course, I should have significantly more time come August, when I'll be out of school for about six weeks.

Still here. Just nothing really to discuss. I'd like to get back into CotN and SCS sometime, but just been sidetracked by other things. :)

Hi guys..its been aaages since ive played cotn and now ive just re-started...I have been trawling the forums for shaders and textures from way back ;) . I never really got into modding but I did manage to change a few plaza colours using some software I forgot what though.

Id dearly love a new COtN...its got such great potential..I see nothin official has been posted since for a very long while. A great shame. I hope they will find the time to re-vive this game..look at settlers7..amazing graphics could so easily use the game engine while retaining the versatility of COtN. Not everyone wants a game like Brink..far too much violent blood thirsty games out there already..we need some balance.

The industry needs to hype this kinda game up more...then people will be intrested at the mo all you see are shoot-em ups and gangland games and hack n slashes. Is that all we can expect? I certainly hope not.

I'm still here. My computer started acting up in December and I've been taking my time deciding whether to get a new one or get a refurbished power unit for my Dell XPS and get another year or two out of the system. The computer it self runs fine, but it only runs for about an hour or so before it resets due to what I think is a thermal short.

So I haven't been playing much of anything for a while.
