Windows 7 Beta + SCS

Postby Quantum Reality » Fri Jan 16, 2009 6:31 am

So I got my beta ISO and have been testing Win7 with SimCity Societies on my Pentium Dual Core E5200 (overclocked to 3.0 GHz) + Radeon HD4850, etc.

Surprisingly the game "took" with little trouble. :)

Only a small quirk was that the game thought my settings ought to be quite low! (1024x768, most settings on 'low') I manually tweaked a lot of them up to what I remembered seeing in Vista, and I'm now fiddling around, building a city. :)

The beta OS prolly isn't suited for gaming, but if you're bored and want to send feedback to Microsoft you could give it a go. :)

Update: Small city, seems a tad sluggish already. I think it's Win7. :)

I'll be reverting to Vista soon, anyhow, but what the hey.

I think Windows has followed "The Peter Principle"

"It Has Risen to the Level of Incompetence"
