[MOD] Parking Garage

Since the old version of the parking garage seems to have disappeared, I made a new one. It will give a small boost to the productivity of nearby workplaces and will make nearby venues slightly more attractive. Enjoy! And please let me know if there are any bugs.

Nice retexture. :) Aside from the added effects, did you keep it as a workplace as the original file was?

I didn't have the older version, so I was kind of on my own about what to do with it. I decided to make it a venue. I was waffling back and forth on whether to make it a workplace or a venue, and the model was in the "venues" folder, so I went with that. It's not much of a venue - it has a capacity of 10 and it only gives a +1 happiness boost. I reasoned that finding a good parking place would make people a little bit happier. But the real benefits come from the productivity and attraction boosts, IMO.

As for the cultural graphics effects, I was just having fun there, figuring out how they worked. There are some pretty cool things you can do if you like those kinds of details.

I installed the mod (dragging the file to the desktop and double clicking on it), but for some reason, the building did not appear. It mostly that I had Spyware Terminator installed, so it could be one reason.

That's odd - there's nothing in the SCSpack besides XML and PNG files, nothing that should have triggered any spyware detector.

So let's do some troubleshooting:

1. Have you had this problem with any other mods?

2. Check your ProgramData/SimCity Societies/Import folder and see if it contains a file named "ZB Parking Garage.xml". If it doesn't, the SCSpack didn't install properly. If the file is there:

3. The building doesn't unlock unless your city is producing at least 21 productivity. Is it possible that you simply didn't see it because it's still in the list of locked buildings?
