I hope the game does gangbusters and they become wildly rich...that way they can add a lot of great features to the game :D

Just enough that they keep working on the game, right? ;)

how many total downloads does the game have? o_0

and how long do you think it will keep that position?

Sorry about the dupe thread. That is rule #1 in forum posting: Scroll down the page before starting one!!! :o

I am fairly certain they guard all their dowload/sales numbers closely. I am not even sure how quickly TM will get that information.

It doesn't suprise me that it's on top of the list, but how long it can actually maintain that is what would be important, I dare say that many games on or near to their release day when only released digitally would be on the best sellers list, especially when the offerings are only what's available on one downloader service like steam, or any of the others really.

Just my opinion.

Any half decent game will be the top seller when it's released :p

TM will have any info they want when they want it... it wouldn't surprise me if it was required by law. Valve as a whole is keeping total steam sales and there like close to there chest mainly so they can avoid pissing off publishers to much while they still feel the need to sell at retail which is to say while they still feel the need to make console ports

Just checked and it is back on top of the strategy best seller list after being briefly displaced by Colonization.

I am assuming this means sales are going well. :D

I looked at it a day ago roughly
it was the #2 strategy game selling under Colonization

do you think the free content pack announcement beefed up the sales?

Or maybe the positive reviews showing up.

Gamespy's review was still positive.

Then the Dubious QUality Blog/Review.

Crispy Gamer posted a positive review today as well.

With no media push or in store presence, it all has to be word of mouth via the internets. I would hope this is a positive sign that sales may continue to grow. Without any numbers, it is all conjecture, though obviously.
