Healer level in endgame

Postby EmperorJay » Sun Jan 18, 2009 10:59 am

Playing a long game at the moment, medium difficulty.

I still feel that healer characters do not gain enough level to grow into endgame. Often enough my three level 7 characters take care of things well, but sometimes when the AI mocks up and attacks my level 3 acolyte it's usually a one-hit-kill.

The remedy is to just hire a higher level priest or acolyte, but the whole idea of the game is to feel for your townfolks.

The easiest (but dangerous) way to get healers to level up is just to give them regular weapons from the early game and have them level up with you. Have not one but two healers that alternate in role - one heals, the other attacks and then the role switches. I do agree that healers serving their roles as healers don't level up much, however. They can level up their attack power, but not their HP or defensive power that much.

That sounds like a good tactic, but still a work around for an existing problem.

I'm definitely not suggesting to make them (healers) stronger, but more balanced.
