Naukratis - No oil?

Postby Morlark » Wed Jan 07, 2009 2:11 pm

I just started the campaign, started the first mission, and set up my town like I normally do. I noticed my perfumers were complaining, so I took a look, and it turns out there's no oil trees anywhere on this map, so the perfumers have no way of making perfume. Is this just my game glitching out somehow, or is the map itself actually made wrong? I know it's easy enough just to not build perfumers, but it seems like such a silly error.

No, you´re right, there are none. Probably an error and forgotten at desing of the map.

...or purposely designed that way ;)

Ya never know, someone might have designed a scenario & forgot to include farmers

:D

...or reeds, rushes & papyrus...

I wouldn´t assume it´s a mistake if there were some triggers making up for it. But there´s no oil in Naukratis, while there are flowers...

If I was a guessing guy I would guess it was designed that way.

Delete your perfume shop (or leave it if it has a graduate) and have "Antioch" the perfume guy on the World map bring you perfume. :)

I have plans to design some maps that eliminate certain items on the nome level, and make you trade for them if you want them.

Clay would be a fun one. :D :p
