Charge command question

When I gave my units charge commands, I was never able to turn it off. Whoever got that command would melee for the rest of the battle. Really sucked when I gave it to Mosby inadvertently.

Am I screwing something up? Have others seen this?

Likewise. The command does not appear to toggle correctly.

Units that are given a charge order wait until their next attack order to charge. Once that happens they keep the charging Attribute for a time based on their courage, after which it should shut itself off. Likewise, there is a cooldown before a unit can charge again (shortened based on a unit's courage stat as well).

Makes sense, actually. You can't turn "charge" on and off like a faucet. Once they get psyched up to do it, there's no stopping them short of success or failure.

Hmm.. it may be coincidence, but i found after selecting charge, if i force them to Rifles and then tell them to choose their own weapon, that seems to stop the charging. But again, it may be just coincidence.

Yeah, it seems like "charge" is a permanent command regardless of what the tutorial says, but just as long as you switch back to rifles they'll stop.
