Hey, it's not our fault when the other nations only set their hopes on single players while we use all 11...

The Germans are coming

Postby Harbinger9 » Tue Jul 06, 2010 4:04 pm

yes, the Spanish can stop the Germans if they can take advantage of the few chances they will have.

first step: attack Germany and put them on the defense.
have the defense stay home and await the inevitable German counter attack, this is where they have scored a majority of their goals so preventing them from slipping behind the midfield will be crucial.

second step: put the ball in the net, please god. this whole tournament has been plagued by missed opportunities. (ie, Lionel Messi not scoring once) finishing is everything. someone please shoot to score. if Villa can score early Germany will have to mark him more closely and expose an opening for other Spaniards to shoot from the top of the box or look for crosses in from the wings. which is where they are most deadly. they have great passers and cross suppliers.

Germany can win but they need to be ready for a fully operational, European Champions Spain. 1/3 or 8 of 24 of the Spanish team are at Barcelona FC. The undisputed greatest team on Earth (yes, even though they lost to Inter Milan in the Champions league final).

should be a cracking match!

Uruguay goes down to Holland today, 2-0. so let's see Holland v. Spain in the final.

I heard he did receive several death threats from England, Argentinia and Germany as well. But he doesn't deserve this, he's just the messenger, it's not his fault.

He is supposed to train a new Oracle after the World Cup, since he probably won't live long enough until the next European Cup due to age anyway. :(

Indeed, Bravo Spain!

Especially with Holland playing so dirty.

Yep, Paul correctly predicted Germany in the runnerup game, so he is safe from being soup!
