[Suggestion] Sell your troops (and ships)

Postby KineticNRG » Mon Jan 12, 2009 9:12 pm

Wouldnt it be cool if you could post up excess troops in the market or be able to ship them around in a ship?

EDIT: It might also be a nice idea to be able to sell ships too, but only to people who have the room in their exchange to hold the extra ships.

sell troops to help Nome Event- Bandit Outposts

being able to sell troops would help those players that dont want to participate in Monument wars but would like to help out the Nome by donating to the Bandit Outposts.

"Selling" Troops would be kind of odd. Just call it "Hire Mercenaries." ;)

I would like to sell troops. It would be great to specialize in troop production. It would make fighting off bandits much easier and give people more goods to market.

It would also be a great way to get rid of the 10 extra charioteers I made while I was at work. :D

I think this a brilliant idea. It would help create more interaction between peaceful builders and the guys who like to participate in the military side of things. Builders would be able to hire troops to help their nome clear out bandits etc.

Perhaps "renting" your troops would be more beneficial. Rent them in exchange for luxury or raw goods. This might prove more agreeable to those that do not want to participate in the war/bandit part of the game.

I like the idea of a ship for the troops too. Another option for cedar producers. A different ship to be built for the transport of troops.

Person A: "Yes, I'd like to rent 200 of you're finest troops. Here's 400 jewelry for you're trouble."

Person B: "Sure, pleasure doing business with you."

*30 minutes later*

Person A: "Sweet, I took 5000 limestone and 10000 bread from this monument."

Person B: "Hey, those troops used to work for me..."

:p :p :p

Point taken. Buying is a better option.

Totally disagreed. Its already way too easy to save-and-spend, allowing people to recoup the cost of their soldiers would make it even worse. I could field a raid like every 2 days if I got most of the build cost back.
