Screens taken before a couple edits and fixes...

Yup, it's KFC! This one's open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and has a pretty decent happiness boost. As always, enjoy and critique! Oh, and I should note that the retexture was made by my fiance!

Hey you know come think of it there is 1 building i would love to see in the game, a nice home for the mayor that is placed as decorative :)

It's not working i can choose to place it but get some other crazy building in stead, just as with the gamestop building and the ninja academy you made they do not work either :( and i would really love to have this building in game.

Try this, and let me know if it works: Open ALL of your custom culture texture XMLs (both in the game directory and your documents) and merge them into one file. That's what I've been doing and it works for all mods I've downloaded.

that might be the problem, my suggestion to you is to change the name from custom to something unique to go with each building you make so like wolfkfc and for your gamestop wolfgamestop that way we can get them to work, so any chance you can look at it and change it ?

By the way if i merge them then yes they work because another mod from simcitygirl from the scs official exchange has the same name custom textures and therefore i suggest that you name yours different and also different for each building you make that way they always work. Now another issue i noticed with KFC is that it is suppose to be open 24 hours but in the game it's only open from 9 am till 2 pm, the problem was that you names the special hours 24_Hours and it is suppose to be 24_Hour without the s

That won't work, Morpheus121073. "Custom Textures" has a special meaning: all the textures in "Cultural Graphics Sets" are referenced by various Profiles files. "Custom Textures" is in all the Profile "core"s. Perhaps a different file name might work, though....?...

If it doesn't work then why do i have another mod that does use a different name and that does work ? Because it uses the name <GraphicSet name="Cyberpunk High Impact"> it was one of the official downloads and if that would not work then i wonder what we can do so all files will be read even if they all use the same name custom textures, i mean they all have different things inside.

I actually tried naming them something other than custom textures and it didn't work for me. I'll look deeper into it and see what I can figure out.

did some further checking but custom textures is tied to the core profiles, it would be great if they can make something so people don't have to start editing every single building mod they download because that is gonan be a downfall for a lot of people and not very promising when you have like a few hundred mods in a year.

Looks like we all exncounter the same problem

only the oldest file is ready ignoring all the newer ones, so now the things is how do we get all the files to be read and used ? Without having to merge all of them into 1 which i did for now so i can still use the new buildings but it is definatly not the way to go for the people that just want to use them and not do a lot of modding.

I don't know if this person still visits these forums but it would be easier if they uploaded the screen shots directly to these forums

It works for me...partially. The author noted that there was a problem with the bump graphic, so it doesn't light up at night, I don't think. However, daytime view, it works great by default. So does the GameStop mod...except he's got a broken "ambient" image... the night images are of a lighted butcher shop window. hehe
