I will take this opportunity "Medieval Mayor on hiatus" to add a battle system. The key of success in making a game is that the game that you design must be an attractive multi playergame. So as I study the development of video games aims, the strategic system is important and it can be attractive ( trades, monuments, walkers...) but what make the game more attractive is the battle system. For example, Zeus wouldn't be an attractive game without a brief battle system between cities. So the game will be composed of two parts one strategic and another for battles (defending and attacking cities).
